Welcome to the Durham Association NASUWT

We hope you will find this website useful. It has been developed to enable you to make the most of your Union.

The NASUWT is one of the largest teacher unions in the United Kingdom. It is the only teacher union with members in all corners of the country. We organise in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. NASUWT has members in all the educational sectors offering them unrivalled support, advice and assistance.

In January 2014 the five associations of Bishop Auckland, Durham City, North Durham, Peterlee and South Durham were amalgamated to form the new Durham Association.

The Local Executive for Durham Association currently includes the following officers:

Negotiation Secretary, Treasure, President, Vice President, Equalities Officer, Health and Safety Officer, Women's Officer and Benevolence Officer.

If you need advice or have an issue in your school, please look for relevant information here, if not you can use the "Contact" button to contact one of the officers. If you are emailing, please leave a phone number so we can telephone if necessary.

Support and advice should be sought in the first instance through the national Member Support and Advice (MSA) Team which operates between 8am and 6.30pm on weekdays. Tel: 03330 145550. Email: advice @mail.nasuwt.org.uk
